*EDIT: EBE Bandz has NOT actually bonded out of jail yet, information on the Cook County Sheriff’s website is delayed/unreliable at times. This video will be updated with details of Bandz’ bond/release when they emerge.*

Chicago rapper EBE Bandz (also known as GMEBE Bandz & Billy Da Kid) was arrested last week (Wednesday 17) on drug and weapon charges in Evanston, Illinois.

The 21-year-old was arrested alongside another unknown male sitting in a vehicle in the Illinois suburb of Evanston on the 7700 block of Paulina Street at around 3:30 p.m. He was approached and stopped for visibly rolling a ‘marijuana cigar’ (blunt). He “bent forward and reached his hand under the seat” before being told to exit the vehicle, when a Glock .40-caliber handgun loaded with 18 rounds of an extended 22-round-capacity magazine was found under the seat.

Both men were arrested at the scene, and Bandz was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and possession of marijuana. His associate was later released without charge, and Bandz’s bond was set at $150,000 on Friday 19. He is currently being held in Cook County Jail, Division 2.
