Chicago rapper Lil Mister has been released from Cook County jail. After spending almost six months locked up, Lil Mister was released either today or yesterday with an ankle monitor on house arrest and posted a number of pictures on his Instagram page to confirm the news.

One thing about the pictures which attracted his followers’ attention was the fact that Lil Mister’s instantly recognisable long thin dreadlocks have been cut. In some cases this is done to save time with inmate showers in jail since it is difficult to air-dry dreadlocks without rotting.

The rapper was highly regarded by some for the music he made at the peak of Drill Music’s popularity back in 2013. Fans and friends reacted underneath his Instagram posts, see some of their reactions above.
