While on stage performing with the rapper in Philadelphia yesterday (12.21.2016), Taylor Gang frontman Wiz Khalifa announced Lil Uzi Vert as the newest member of his Taylor Gang imprint.

Wiz then later confirmed the news when a fan asked him about the announcement later that day. The pair shared the same ‘corporate home’ at Atlantic records even before the announcement, and Lil Uzi joins Wiz, Ty Dolla Sign, Chevy Woods, Berner, Raven Felix, Tuki Carter, Sosamann, Juicy J & J.R Donato on the TG label.

Many people waited to see which major label Lil Uzi would align himself to ever since his entry to the scene alongside Young Thug around wintertime last year and his awarding of a place on the XXL 2016 freshman list. Wiz Khalifa often quotes Lil Uzi lyrics on his social networking pages and has been seen imitating his distinct shoulder-drop dance for a while now, so the most alert of fans noted the possibility of this singing a while back.
