One of the men responsible for the 2013 murder of 17 year-old Chicago rapper Leonard ‘L’A Capone’ Anderson has been found guilty of his murder.

Although it is still unclear which of the 3 men being charged with his murder has been found guilty, L’A Capone’s mother announced the news via her Instagram page late yesterday (@MommaCapone). Nothing about the trial can be found online at this time but since his mother is reporting the guilty verdict publicly many have taken this as 100% confirmation.

The 3 men charged with his murder were 17, 21 and 23 at the time of their arrest in 2014. Two gave statements admitting to getting a gun before going to the studio L’A Capone was shot outside of, and the other who was driving the ‘tail car’ told investigators he “watched the shooter sneak up on Anderson and open fire with a .40 or .45 caliber handgun”. The shooter has yet to be publicly named but all 3 were charged with 1st degree murder.

L’A Capone’s mother posted a picture of L’A alongside the caption:

MommaCapone: “I KNOW U IN HEAVEN SMILING DOWN RIGHT NOW GOT SOME JUSTICE FOR YOU TODAY 1 DOWN 2 MORE TO GO #justiceforLACAPONE”

She also posted an image which just reads ‘Guilty’ with no caption at all. L’A’s supporters reacted underneath the posts.
