Chicago rapper FBG Duck was shot and killed today in the Gold Coast neighbourhood of Chicago.

He was among at least 3 people who were shot on Oak Street between Rush and Michigan in the Gold Coast area at about 4:30pm. Duck and a man in his 30s were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in ‘serious-to-critical’ condition, and a female was taken to a different hospital in ‘fair-to-serious’ condition.

Duck then passed away as a result of his injuries. Chicago’s Deputy Police Chief announced the news of his passing, and tributes have poured in from his friends and fans on social media.

Footage of the aftermath of the incident surfaced on social media showing Duck on the floor moving but bleeding heavily with another man lying on the floor behind him, while a female onlooker screams for the ambulance to hurry up. Another video shows multiple police officers in attendance telling civilians recording to clear the scene. Police have since revealed that 4 men jumped out from 2 different vehicles and opened fire on Duck and his associates before fleeing.

Duck was a part of the Chicago drill music scene since the beginning, and will be remembered. RIP FBG Duck
