At the age of 33, it looks like rapper Lil Wayne may be retiring from the rap game.

The ‘Carter’ rapper posted a number of times to his Twitter account yesterday hinting that his career as a rapper may very well be coming to an end, including a post which reads:

@LilTunechi: “I AM NOW DEFENCELESS AND mentally DEFEATED & I leave gracefully and thankful I huh my fans but I’m dun”

This original post had fans worried for his wellbeing, and he followed up his original few posts this morning with one assuring everybody he’s OK:

@LilTunechi: “I’m good y’all don’t trip”

The 33 year-old New Orleans born rapper has been rapping since a child, with recordings of him free styling at the age of 12 available on YouTube to this day. Many of his fans and supporters took to Twitter today to voice their disappointment with their favourite skateboarding rapper’s decision to stop making music, with many news outlets reporting the decision has been in the making for a long time now behind the scenes.
