Rapper Montana of 300 has been arrested and held in jail just 3 days before the release of his album ‘Don’t Doubt The God’.

It’s unclear so far exactly what charges the rapper is facing (although rumour has it it could be a probation violation), but his management posted on his Instagram account to inform his fans of the situation. The caption reads:

@montanaof300: “Aye y’all I’m locked up right now…I’m in this mf working on the future. Album about to drop on the 20th. Everybody that loves me, loves what I do, loves how I do it, loves my team, loves my purpose and appreciates my time and craft, please go purchase my “DON’T DOUBT THE GOD” Album and let’s make that bitch the #1 ALBUM in the country. I appreciate all the love and support and ears. I will be home very very soon. Enjoy and listen for the msgs please. I’m not jus rapping to make money. I rap to lift up my ppl as well. Catch the bars and the msgs.

Talley of 300 and An artist named Don D from Montana’s FGE imprint also commented on the arrest, saying:

Montana is the latest on a long list of rappers to end up in legal troubles before the release of his studio album, including most recently Kodak Black before the release of ‘Painting Pictures’.
