Takeoff, one third of mainstream rap group Migos, was shot and killed during a shootout in Houston, Texas after a dice game went bad on Monday night [31/10/2022].
Takeoff, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, was just 28 years old when he lost his life. Details surrounding the incident are yet to be fully explained, but videos of the aftermath of the shootout have been circulating on social media along with alleged stories of what exactly went down.
The Gwinett County Georgia rapper recently released a project with fellow Migos member Quavo titled ‘Only Built for Infinity Links‘, and was promoting new music video releases from the project on the day of his passing.
Fans and friends, including Rich The Kid, begun reacting to Takeoff’s death after the news broke early Tuesday morning:
The last ever photo he posted to his Instagram story showed him standing smoking, with Playboi Carti‘s ‘Stop Breathing‘ playing in the background.
Rest In Peace Takeoff.
