Chicago rapper Rooga recently called out Syracuse, New York artist Toosii for lip syncing to a King Von verse.

The song playing in the TikTok is King Von’s collaborative effort with 21 Savage titled ‘Don’t Play That’, which contains the controversial lyrics: “She asking me what is Tooka / Just know that we smoke him a lot“.

In a now deleted post, Rooga said he had no problem with people singing along to the song, but called out Toosii for gesturing like he was smoking when Von’s verse mentioning “Tooka” is playing, while admittting to not actually knowing Tooka personally himself.

He also came at other out of state rappers for knowingly getting involved with Chicago issues.

Shondale ‘Tooka‘ was the street name of a Chicago gang member who was killed back in 2012. Many rival rappers (including Chief Keef and Lil Durk) have taunted his friends by saying they’re “smoking Tooka“, which has indirectly led to the popularization of the word as slang for marijuana.

Artists such as Tee Grizzley and Young MA have been called out for rapping along to songs disrespecting Tooka’s name in the past.
