We reported back in October of this year (http://bit.do/CoKillaAr) that CoKilla ElChapo was facing an ‘Armed Violence’ charge, but it appears he was also charged with possession of a Class B or C controlled substance. He has been sentenced to 1 year in prison and transferred to Stateville Correctional Center.

A Class B or Class C substance is either cocaine, crack, LSD, oxycodone, oxycontin, ecstasy, hydrochloride, amphetamine, methamphetamine or other Class C substances. It’s unclear what happened in relation to the armed violence charge, but it is likely prosecutors abandoned it in favour of a drug possession charge which is much easier to prove.

Due to CoKilla’s extensive criminal history and time served inside on a number of varying charges, the sentence for drug possession was set to 365 days. His projected discharge date, which is not always accurate, is set for July 18th 2017.

S/O Marcel Tyler for the heads up.
