Chicago based rapper and Young Pappy affiliate Bang Da Hitta was recently arrested on first degree murder charges. The 27-year-old is accused of gunning down a man last year in the Uptown neighbourhood and is being charged with first-degree murder.

On November 13 last year Bang is accused of shooting an 18-year old male multiple times which resulted in the young man’s death. The shooting allegedly occurred on the 1200 block of West Leland, after Bang and fellow gang members were allegedly alerted to a rival gang member’s Facebook live broadcast.

They allegedly went to the block where the victim was standing on the sidewalk and “began shooting”, and Bang is accused of shooting the victim more than once after he fell to the ground, walking closer to him and continuing to fire. The victim was shot nine times, including shots to his chest, neck and hip. He was taken to Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at around 6:40pm. Bang and another man are accused of running off when other rival gang members returned fire. he was reportedly shot in the hip and dropped his cellphone at the scene, which was later recovered by investigators.

Bang Da Hitta recently signed a management deal with West End Entertainment and had reportedly moved to the South Side to live with his grandma in an attempt to change his life. He is facing a possible sentence of anything up to life in prison without parole on the murder charge, made more likely by the “aggravating factor” of Bang being believed to be involved in gang activity and the victim being killed as a direct result of this activity.Subscribe & Follow us for updates on Bang da Hitta’s case as they become available.
