After countless legal battles dating back to a case which he caught in 2009, Meek Mill is finally a free man.

He pled guilty this morning (Tuesday August 27) to possessing a firearm without a license and all other charges against him were dropped, bringing a decade-long legal battle to an end. He will not face a retrial, and can now breathe easy knowing the cases have been totally resolved.

Meek thanked “everybody who’s ever stood for” & said he was “very thankful from the bottom of [his] heart” outside the courtroom after the decision was made.

Meek himself is determined to push for greater reform in the judicial system despite this personal victory, now working on a new justice reform campaign with Jay-Z.
