A 21-year-old Brooklyn rapper and friend of 22Gz who went by the name Nick Blixky was gunned down in his home town on Sunday May 10.
Police responded to a call of a male shot at around 9:26pm and on attending the scene found Nick Blixky “unconscious and unresponsive” and suffering from several gunshot wounds “to his torso and buttocks”. He was rushed to Kings County Hospital before later being pronounced dead.
In a statement on the incident made by the NYPD, police said there have currently been no arrests and that the investigation “remains ongoing”.
Nick, real name Nicklaus Thompson, was just beginning to make an impact on the rap game as a part of the ‘Blixky’ group, who all hail from Brooklyn and have been heavily involved in the development of the New York drill music sound. On the day of his death he had only just begun promoting his new mixtape ‘Different Timin’
