Local Chicago rapper and Savage Squad Records affiliate Extendo Quono was shot by Chicago Police today in the 6100 block of South King Drive in the Washington Park neighbourhood on the South side of Chicago.

Chicago Police Department officers responded to a ‘Shots Fired’ call at around 2:15p.m. and reports of his shooting came in at 2:25p.m. An unknown number of officers encountered 24-year-old Quono who allegedly had a semi-automatic pistol, and he was shot before being “taken into custody”. He was hit an unreported amount of times and was reported to have had a tourniquet placed around his around his “right upper-arm” by police to help stop heavy bleeding, indicating he was shot at least once in the arm. Police are saying that they “do not believe” he fired the weapon he had.

Quono was then rushed to Stroger Hospital in ‘critical condition’. Early reports of his death were misreported by various sources due to eyewitness claims of a body covered with a blue tarp, which later turned out to be false. At the time of writing this article his condition is still said to be critical. The local SWAT team and a helicopter were on scene afterwards, and a large crowd gathered near the scene with a “heavy police presence” of more than 12 police vehicles. The Police involved were said to all have been wearing Body-Cams which will be reviewed and have all been placed on 30-day administrative leave.

The rapper is an affiliate of Fredo Santana’s SSR group and has multiple songs posted on our YouTube channel, as well as a music video with Glo Gang’s JusGlo titled ‘BLOODGANG S**T’.
